Memorial Stone Dedication |

In 2004, BGSPS club member Gary Wolford
approached club President Chris Miller with an idea. It was suggested
that the club place some sort of historical marker at the site of the
speedway. Chris thought it was an outstanding idea and presented it to
the club. Unanimously, the club decided this needed to be done.
After getting permission from township officials and the current landowner,
this idea became reality.
On (a very rainy) Saturday, October 22, 2005, the Bowling Green Speedway Memorial Stone was unveiled to the public. This Memorial Stone now stands as a permanent tribute to the speedway and those who raced there.
